Now, let’s talk about the food. Colombian street food is all about bold, savory flavors, and this restaurant nails it every time. One dish you simply cannot miss is the arepa, a staple in Colombian cuisine. These golden, cornmeal pockets are filled with all sorts of deliciousness, like melted cheese or savory meats. The arepas here are crispy on the outside, soft and warm on the inside - the perfect balance. Plus, they come with a variety of toppings that truly elevate the dish.

If you’re into fried food, empanadas are another must-try. These pockets of joy are stuffed with a mix of ingredients like seasoned beef or chicken, then deep-fried to a golden crisp. The outside is crunchy, while the inside remains juicy and flavorful. It's a great choice for a quick snack or an appetizer.

For something heartier, the bandeja paisa is a Colombian classic that will fill you up in the best way possible. It’s a large platter featuring grilled meats, beans, rice, fried plantains, and a fried egg on top. It’s these little touches that really show the restaurant's dedication to providing an exceptional dining experience.

The menu also offers a variety of refreshing drinks to complement the meals, including aguapanela, a Colombian sugarcane beverage that pairs wonderfully with the savory dishes. It’s a unique, sweet treat that you won’t find at just any restaurant.

  • I have never been a regular anywhere, except for here. It is fully GF and in a way that does not compromise on quality or flavour - a dream come true! I also consider this place very affordable for Toronto eats. The owner is such a lovely woman and I am grateful for this place every time I come by. I recommend the empanadas, the guava and cheese is such a treat!!

  • My mom is dying in a hospital from colon cancer (whole life as undiagnosed celiac). She's barely eating anything and in palliative care. She asked me if I could get her some sancocho (very popular Latin soup). I drove to Colombian Street Food as they're 100% GF place. I ordered one soup for me and one to go for her. The Mexican girl in the front asked me how my day was going. I explained that I just needed a nice soup for Mom in hopes that she would eat something. She's lost a lot of weight and is all bones due to the cancer. She asked me if she could chew and I said not really. She asked me if she could cut up the soup meat and veggies in tiny pieces so she could eat it. How thoughtful!!! When I got to the hospital and I opened the bag, she had packed up very nicely and even written "Mamita", Mommy in Spanish As you look to support restaurants, think of the mom and pop shops that work tirelessly to support people with allergies and medical issues and so thoughtful!

  • Delicious authentic food! We had three of the empanadas. Highly suggest the beef and potato. The arepa was delicious!

  • Having now eaten here over 10 time now, I can say with confidence, yum! Simple menu, small place only 4 bar stools at a window counter, its packed every time cause the food is great! Haven't even tried the empanadas yet, sold out most times, but the arepas (deluxe and corn) consistently good (only one time too much cheese) friendly family joint worth the visit

  • Great service, refreshing drinks, and delicious food. The empanadas, yuca, and churros are my favourites and all gluten free! Will definitely be coming back!

  • First time trying the empanadas from this place and we’re definitely coming back! We ordered the classic beef and potato empanadas, as well as cheese ones to go, and while we waited, we tried the Hawaiian empanadas, which I also highly recommend. But the real star of the night was the guava and cheese empanada absolutely delicious! The wait time was under 10 minutes, which felt super fast, the service was amazing, and although the place is small, it’s cozy and welcoming. Definitely a great spot for Colombian comfort food.

  • Excellent food. Service warm and friendly. Atmosphere. It’s more of a take out place than an eat in. Empanadas are insanely delicious. I could eat six for lunch - this place is legit and truly home made with fresh ingredients. This is one of the best places to buy travel food as they have hit fresh items that can be taken to sporting events, outings, trips, etc.
